January 2016 Bravery Challenge

I’m definitely feeling brave today after leading my first ever LIVE webinar! If nothing changes, nothing changes. Love it.

if nothing changes

We are now halfway thru January and it’s time to get moving. We can talk about bravery until we are blue in the face. But being brave is not about theory. It’s a spiritual muscle that needs to be worked out, just like any other muscle in our bodies. So let’s get crackin’.

I want to empower you to do something that taps into your bravery muscle. I recommend starting small. “What on earth should I do, YT?” That is a fantastic question!

Here are some ideas to ponder to get your creative juices flowing —

  • What areas of my life have I been avoiding shining the light of truth on? This could be anything from playing hide and go seek with your finances to putting yourself last on your list of priorities.
  • What is one thing I have been wanting to do, but haven’t worked up enough courage to try? This could…

Your ‘Me Time’ Challenge

pause & reset-04

You are doing too much. And you aren’t looking after yourself. You are tired. Run down. You haven’t felt fully alive in ages!

If you don’t do something now, that health concern, whether it be physical (hello insomnia), mental (anxiety) or emotional, will become a health crisis.

It’s just a matter of time and you know this. Even if you don’t want to admit it to yourself.

This is your chance to look after you. Put yourself first.

I’ve figured out how to get around my doctor’s orders and give you what you’ve been asking for!

So this is what’s going to happen…

PAUSE & RESET

‘LIVE’ Pause & Reset group sessions: because being in your own home creates comfort through familiarity and decreases the stress of trying to get to a class where you might feel self-conscious!

The Pause & Reset sessions are:

  • 3 Live Webinars so we can interact and learn more from each other as well as help you commit to making time just for you!
  • You will log onto the live webinar for 1 hour each week (3 weeks) from your own home as this gives you flexibility (no rushed drive to your class)!
  • Dates/Times: Sundays 8pm-9pm (AEDT) on: 17th, 24th, 31st January
  • To find out what that means in your local time zone, you can use this time zone converter

Each week, the Pause & Reset session includes:

  • A guided meditation based on what you have told me because a meditation that incorporates your needs will be more personal (go and do the survey now!)
  • An integration exercise to help deepen your meditation experience, as you are relaxed, focused and more creative after meditation.
  • Opportunity for discussion so you can ask questions and share your experience. This creates a sense of community as you are going through this experience with others just like you!
  • Take home study will be provided each week to keep you motivated & deepen your practice

Pause & Reset BONUS MATERIAL

  • You will receive the transcripts and audio recordings of all 3 sessions so you can practice whenever you want to as well as review what was covered each week
  • The 3 guided meditations from the sessions as stand alone audio recordings for your personal use because often you will just want to hit the play button, lie down and listen, then get up feeling amazing!
  • A copy of the integration exercises used in each session as well as additional integration exercises to enhance your meditation sessions. You might prefer one exercise to another or want to mix it up on different days.
  • Plus two new guided meditations (audio recordings) to add variety to your meditation practice and keep you motivated!
  • 1hr follow up Q&A group webinar in February 2016 for any lingering questions from the live sessions or from practicing by yourself at home

THIS PACKAGE IS VALUED AT $150 AUD (approx. $104 USD)

BUT… And keep in mind that 1 casual group yoga or meditation class costs between $20-30 AUD (approx. $17-20 USD).

  • These 3 sessions will be tailored to your needs so remember to fill out this survey.
  • You will be given time to deepen your meditation experience through specific exercises, homework and discussion time instead of your teacher running off to teach their next class.
  • Unlimited access to a total of 5 guided meditations so this saves you time and money on getting to future classes after our sessions together!
  • Plus a 1 hour live Q&A webinar where you can ask even more questions as a lot of yoga and meditation teachers are too busy running classes to actually sit, listen and respond to your personal questions and concerns.

SO CHECK THIS OUT…

This is the first time I have run these sessions and your interaction is highly valued.

Your interaction and feedback helps tailor each session to your needs! How great is that?!

So this will be a ONE TIME OFFER of $97 AUD (approx. $67 USD).

This package will not be offered at this price again.

If you would like to register for the Pause & Reset sessions but aren’t sure if you’ll be able to make it to the one or all of the live sessions this is ok. Life happens! You will still have access to all of the material outlined above including the recordings of the live sessions.

From personal experience and what past students have told me, I’m confident these sessions will make you feel good and give you some beautiful tools to use at home.

But even if you get to the end of January and you aren’t happy with what was covered, I’ll be happy to refund you your money. The only thing I ask from you is that you attend all three sessions before asking for a refund.

I’m opening up registration TODAY! This means NOW so get in early by going to the registration page.

And if you have any problems registering send me an email nymveliz@gmail.com as soon as possible so I can get things sorted out for you!

If you missed the free “Pause & Reset: Sleep” guided meditation, you can listen to it at the link below. But you need to listen to it NOW. I’m going to pull down the audio very soon. Click here to listen to “Pause & Reset: Sleep”.

Remember to Book in some ‘me time’ and register now!

Tea Pray Love…

Tea Pray Love

One of my first meditation teachers told me I could meditate on anything. Which sounded bizarre to me. But when she cracked open the 70% dark chocolate and passed it around our little group and took us through a ‘chocolate meditation’, I was totally won over!

Thank you to everyone that participated in my survey about kickstarting a meditation practice. Your input is invaluable. Truly.

The winner of the survey is Maree and she has some beautiful “Frankie Says Relax” tea coming her way thanks to Tea Pray Love. I’m sure Maree will love sitting in a comfy chair and meditating on her “Frankie Says Relax” tea 😉

What Will You Do To FEEL The Way YOU Want

DMplanner

I love writing lists.

So New Year’s Eve is usually an excuse for me to write another list!

But this year is different. Starting with the fact that I could drink a glass of champagne last night! Woo hoo! It was almost like we were celebrating the end of my breastfeeding journey with my 28 month old girl rather than NYE. That’s a whole other story for another time…

So instead of writing a list of goals yesterday, I sent my hubby with my toddler to buy the champagne (she got her own special ‘bubble water’) and I got out my brand new “Desire Map Planner” by Danielle Laporte.

I cranked up “Brave” by Sara Bareilles and started listing how I wanted to FEEL this year. And what I needed to do to feel this way. It feels so good to approach my life this way! Thank you Danielle 😉

Because no matter what your goals or intentions are for 2016, the reality is, we are chasing a feeling that we associate with our goals/achievements/bucket lists.

One of my core feelings is VIBRANT. And for today I had written down that I wanted to go for a walk and play outside with my husband and toddler to FEEL vibrant. It’s in the baby steps. The micro changes. That bigger things happen.

Let me know how you want to feel this year! And what you are going to do to feel this way.

Have You Been To A Wellness Studio?

After reading “10 Wellness Trends To Watch In 2016” by MindBodyGreen I would love love love to go to a Wellness Studio.

Have you been to one? If so, let me know what you thought and leave a comment.

I am so intrigued. The idea sounds great to me! I wonder if they cater for people with kids…hmmm.

I think my hubby is more preoccupied with the Nitro Coffee idea. Though he is addicted to the Bulletproof Coffee that’s given a mention in the article. Not caffeine addicted but because he can have his bulletproof coffee and then ride for 100km without needing any other fuel!

If you want to give meditation a go but are put off by the ‘woo woo’ look of some sites. Try this little audio best for free.

It’s 10 minutes. You get to lie down. You can’t do it wrong.

P.S. After the Christmas crazy, lying down for 10 minutes and getting some energy back sounds like a good plan yeah?

Bold Tranquility: Be Good To Yourself

coffee-cup-bed-bedroom

“I often get asked how many times I practice yoga nidra meditation. The quick answer is: typically I practice 4-7 times per week. But here’s the truth: everyone has a unique rest prescription.”

Given how much I’m hooked on yoga nidra I love sharing what other yoga nidra teachers can offer. The post above is from the lovely Karen at Bold Tranquility.

Effortless Meditation: lie down | an introduction to yoga nidra

trees-countryside-green-chill

Meditation is easier when you lie down. (Tweet that!)

I was SO chronically sleep deprived the neurologist thought that I had had a stroke. I have a background in nursing so that scared the s**t out of me!

Swami Satyananda Saraswati wasn’t a sleep-deprived mom but he gave us something to help us cope with sleep deprivation. And help us recover.

Yoga nidra.

 STOP! Yoga what?!

Don’t be put off by the woo-woo sounding name!

Wouldn’t you love a lie down right now?

Then get up after 10-20 minutes feeling like you have had a mega-nap?!

That’s yoga nidra.

Seriously, you can’t do it wrong. You lie down. You listen to a recording. You get up. And you feel AMAZING.

That’s yoga nidra.

When you listen to yoga nidra (a specific type of guided meditation) your brain is super relaxed. Your brain is SO relaxed that your EEG (the test that shows electrical activity in your brain) shows that you are in a similar state to being asleep (Nilsson, 2013). NICE!

That is AMAZING news for anyone that is sleep deprived, especially moms!

Yoga nidra research from the Kennedy Institute, Copenhagen, shows that your brain is also functioning at a high level of concentration that is completely effortless (Nilsson, 2013).

High level of concentration? Completely effortless? This is EPIC news!

My stroke scare got me serious about tackling chronic sleep deprivation. I had maxed out. Two years of my daughter breastfeeding every two hours overnight.

Yoga nidra became my top recovery tool.

More specifically Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra. Now doesn’t that sound um, divine???

I adore Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra. And this version of yoga nidra was developed by Jennifer Reis from the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health.

Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that has the power to transform, heal & rejuvenate you. WOW.

I use Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra to help me catch up on sleep. I can’t fit in an extra 3 hours sleep. So I lie down and listen to 20 minutes of Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra. It’s pretty much the same thing!

I’m hooked on Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra.

So when I heard Jennifer Reis would be coming to Australia to teach her Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra training, I was there. And now I can call myself a Divine Sleep Guide. Oooooo!

If you are desperate for energy, need to de-stress, and want to be that fun person again, you’d give it a go wouldn’t you? It’s effortless meditation.
